If you want plenty of heating but only have a small space to fit a gas fire, the Compact 2 is the fire for you.

The Rinnai Compact 2 has been designed to get into those tighter spaces, whether it's an existing masonry chimney or a smaller living room. It's easy to retrofit and looks terrific.

Please note that the Compact 2 has a robust fan which is audible, especially in smaller rooms. If the operating noise of the fire plays a significant factor in your purchase decision, we recommend viewing a working model.

Installation consideration

The Neo draws air for combustion from the room. Adequate ventilation must be calculated by the gasfitter as per AS/NZS 5601.1.

  • Fan: Convection fan tangential 2-speed
  • Flueing (not included in price):
    • Mock chimney: Inner - 100 mm, outer - 150 mm. Appliance must be installed with a Rinnai flue system.
    • Masonry: The Compact 2 must be installed with a Rinnai flexiliner flue - 100 mm
  • Ignition: Continuous spark electronic ignition
  • Safety devices: Flame failure thermocouple, overheat switch, fan delay, and power failure protection
  • General clearances: The minimum clearances listed below are measured from the edge of the inner glass.
    • Above - 300 mm
    • Sides - 300 mm (includes side walls)
    • In front - 1000 mm

Please note: This price includes the engine and frame, it does not include flueing.
